"Gas Steam" - GS

This tool has been developed since early 90’s at the Energy Department of Politecnico di Milano within a Fortran 90 programming environment. It provides accurate results in a variety of complex power and chemical plant configurations, including gas turbine cycles, combined cycles, coal based power plants and hybrid cycles.


This tool has been developed in the past for cogeneration systems optimal dispatch. The model handles multi-input and multi-output programmable units, considering part-load performance curves, start-up penalisations and several other operation constraints. It is able to perform system optimization and coupling with the electricity and natural gas markets.
